Miguel's Mom Needs Your Help for Heart Care
Donation protected
Dear friends,
My mother, the woman who gave me life, who raised me with love and resilience, needs urgent medical care. She has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition, and the doctors have told us that she needs a pacemaker as soon as possible to stabilize her heart and give her a chance to live a healthier, longer life.
As many of you know, I am originally from Venezuela, a country that is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history. The healthcare system has collapsed, and access to medical supplies, treatments, and even basic care is extremely difficult. Because of this, my mom will have to undergo her surgery in Colombia, where the procedure can be performed safely and efficiently. However, the cost is overwhelming.
The total amount needed for her surgery, medical care, and recovery is $22,000. Below is a breakdown of the expenses:
Pacemaker and Surgery Costs: $12,000
Pre-Hospitalization Exams: $2,500
Post-Surgery Recovery and Medications: $3,000
One Month of Nurse Care at Home: $3,500
Transportation and Lodging for the Procedure: $1,000
This is an impossible amount for me to cover on my own. I am a seminary student, dedicating my life to ministry and serving others. Right now, I am only able to support myself by teaching English, and I do not have any additional income or financial support from my family. Despite my best efforts, I cannot gather this amount alone, and that is why I am reaching out for help.
If you are able to contribute, no matter how small, your generosity will go directly toward saving my mother’s life. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this message with your community. Every share, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps more than you know.
To understand why medical care is so inaccessible in Venezuela, here are some resources that explain the crisis:

My mother is my world. She is strong, kind, and full of life. She deserves the chance to continue living without the constant fear of her heart failing. I know that with your help, we can make this possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for caring. And thank you for being part of this journey with me.
With gratitude and hope,
Miguel
