Mihaela Maria's Car Fundraiser
Donazione protetta
So MM Rescue needs a new car, I can understand why alot of people don't think this is a necessity for a rescuer but please take a moment to understand why it's so important!
Her car is very worn now and nearing the end of its time, it's now stuck in limp mode which means when she should be doing 60 or 70 on a carriageway she's stuck at 30 which not only takes longer to get to the rescue but causes many problems for other road users. She also has the constant fear that it will just stop and leave her stranded in the middle of nowhere.
The rescue is now 44km/40minutes away from mihaelass home so without a car she has no way to get to the rescue everyday. She can't move closer as her mom at home is sick and she has to care for her too.
The car is crucial to be able to take the animals to the vets in case of emergency or to spay and treat them.
Without a car she can't get to the areas where she feeds the strays and without her they don't have any other way to eat or drink and depend on her to keep them alive.
She also needs the car to be able to go and get vital supplies for the animals to keep the rescue going day to day such as extra food and cleaning products.
To invest further in this car is pointless as there are so many things wrong with it, the sensible option is to invest in another second hand car that is more equipped to deal with the demands of Romanian roads which are often just dirt tracks. We have seen some cars for a few thousand which I understand is a huge amount but any amount you can spare towards this will help us.
We have set the goal a little higher than we need to accommodate for the charges GoFundMe take and to cover the cost of registering a new car. But if we can raise anywhere close to the amount then it would help a great deal.
Thankyou for all your kind support.
