Travel Expenses To See My Sister

Hey all!

Im Mikayla, if you don’t know me, I am one of Chantals sisters!

My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a few years ago now. It all started around the same time as Covid entered our lives, a tumour. Easy Peezy! They removed the tumour, and thought we were in the clear. Until the gloomy day where the cancer returned with a vengeance.

Over time, the cancer progressed, regardless of chemo and radiation. She unfortunately has a very rare type of cancer that has taken over her body. She is only 33 years old, and one hell of a fighter, though all battles eventually come to an end. She has spent years fighting to get one more birthday, one more Christmas because she has two beautiful kids that mean the world to her. I want the chance to be there with them to help them through this pivotal point in their lives, as they are the true survivors of cancer.

Since the beginning of October, Chantal has been hospitalized and sadly she won’t be going home this time. She has a full bowel blockage & has been on a liquid diet for a month now.

Recently due to unforeseen circumstances around a job loss, my financial abilities aren’t where they need to be so I can easily spend time with my beautiful sister & support my family.

All funds will go towards getting out to Alberta (across the country) making sure my little family at home is supported & making sure her two beautiful children are cared for during this stressful time. .. .. Yes, of course I’m an auntie and aunties still need to spoil a little extra.
