Mike and Cindy's Retirement

Support Mike and Cindy Clawson, the dedicated owners of Eva Mae’s Café in Tres Pinos, California. They have found a way to turn their lifelong dream of owning a family run business into a reality, making Eva Mae’s Café a cozy breakfast and lunch joint with their son Aaron. Unfortunately, their dream is going to end soon as the possibility of them renewing their lease was taken from them by the new landlord. With this new reality hitting hard, they have been left with the only option they were given, but to retire. Since they took out everything, they had into creating Eva Mae’s, they will be left to retire with nothing. They were informed about their inability to renew the lease when they originally tried to sell the business, even had a potential buyer to keep Eva Mae’s going beyond them, trying to get something out of all the money and time they spent making this thriving business a reality, even if it was at the cost of their retirement.

Unfortunately the landlord informed them that she was not giving the new potential tenant a lease, or any chance of Eva Mae’s having a renewal on their lease.  This unfortunate situation is why I turned to the very community that we have served for the past 6+ years. The amount I am asking for my parents retirement will be used so that they can fix up their house, sell it, and move somewhere where they can afford to live comfortably.

Let’s come together and show them the appreciation for all of the warmth and hospitality that they have shared with us over the years.
