Mike Beck

I am Brooke Umbdenstock, friend of the Beck family. As many of you know Mike Beck (owner of Becks Plumbing in Center Point,IA) has been in the hospital for WAY too long. Mike and Jodi would never ask for help, so them 82T team is going to ask for them. 

 

Mike was admitted to St. Luke’s with inflammation and infection of unknown causes. He underwent two scopes in 9 days that went from just inflammation to a colon full of ulcers. He then had to adhere to a clear liquid diet for about 13 days prior to being transferred to Mayo Clinic after exactly 3 weeks in the hospital in fear of perforating his bowel with anything more than that. Over this time he lost about 50 pounds and trialed several medications to help with pain, ulcers, and what they thought was Crohn’s. After his transfer to Mayo his bowel perforated in 2 places in the middle of the night. This resulted in emergency surgery and taking 80% of his colon.

 

Mike has a long road to recovery and we are confident he will make a complete comeback. We are aware things could be much worse and we are truly grateful for his entire care team during this process. We truly believe in the power of prayer and that God has a healing hand in all of this.

 

However, we are asking your support financially as both Mike and his wife own their own businesses. Without the income it makes it hard when there are still bills to be paid. We are thankful for whatever you desire to give whether it be a message of encouragement or giving financially.

 

We need to get Mike back to his grandbabies and cheering on the 82T at the Bullring. ❤️
