Mike & Katy Canetta Yellowstone Flood Recovery

As a close friend of Mike and Katy Canetta, I am creating this GoFundMe to help them get back on their feet after the Yellowstone River took everything from them yesterday. The unprecedented flooding caused their apartment building to fall in and float down the Yellowstone River. They lost everything, minus a few important things they were able to save.

Mike and Katy are both avid anglers and passionate conservationists, so it was devastating for them to watch a river they love take almost everything they own.

 

The funds raised will be used to replace what was lost: clothes, furniture, pots and pans, and other household goods. In their move six months ago their possessions were valued at $64,000. It is unclear whether insurance will cover anything, though the state of emergency declaration may prove helpful for a claim that would normally be denied. With that said any funds raised will be incredibly helpful in getting their lives back on track once they are able to secure new housing.
