Mike, Kristy & Michael Byrum Tragic House Fire

Words can not describe the love and support that has been shown in my family's time of need. Your continued thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

My sister, Kristy Byrum and brother in law, Mike Byrum lost their home in a tragic house fire Tuesday evening. Everyone including their pets made it out safely. Insurance has deemed it a total loss, very little is salvageable. We are hoping to raise some money to ease their burdens. Thankful for all who have reached out wanting to help.

Huge shout out and thanks to our emergency management crews: Bethel Fire Department, Hertford and Winfall Fire departments, Perquimans EMS, and Sheriff's department!! Their quick response and compassion was above and beyond!

So many other thank yous, too many to list. Our extended families, church, community, work families reaching out to help in anyway possible!!

Arrangements are in place with family for a place to stay while the rebuilding begins. Blessed for all the small miracles that were vividly noticeable today! All the praise to God who protects us during the storms!!
