Mike and Marcy Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
On Aug 18th I received a call from my friend Marcy saying they heard helicopters above evacuating their neighborhood, but I never imagined that this would be the last time they would see their house in the woods. Mike and Marcy moved to Boulder Creek in November of 2018 and put so much love and care into their mountain home, which the CZU August Lightning Complex wildfire has destroyed completely. They were able to evacuate to safety with their four dogs and little else, everything they owned was lost in the fire. Marcy has been active in our community, always helping others with her love of baking (we have all benefited from that), as well as volunteering at a senior center and native animal rescue (she is fostering baby squirrels right now). Mike had a beautiful collection of 22 guitars, mostly Fender Stratocasters, that he loved dearly. Thinking only about his family, he didn't even grab a single guitar for what he thought was going to be a short displacement but is now a much longer road. They will rebuild, but they have to start from scratch now. I am putting this fundraiser together to help them offset some of the costs and to give their friends a way to reach out and help. If you are able please give what you can and include a note of love and encouragement.
Thanks, Heidi & Michael
