As most of you probably know by now Mike Messer "The Legend", our brother, party planner, comic relief, smiling face, shot buyer, shot taker (sipper ha ha), comedian, fun lover, travel buddy, sports guru, gambling consultant, and overall fantastic friend had a stroke on the night of January 14th, and spent the better part of the week in the hospital getting MRIs, Cat Scans, EKGs and being poked and prodded in every way possible to monitor his health.
It's easy to see Mike walking around trying to act as much like himself as possible, but I can assure you he is not. A stroke is not like a normal fall or bodily injury. As is with anything that surrounds the brain, there is no guarantee on recovery, and the time frame is much much slower. Mike is doing the best he can do do what he can at home, and with the help of his friends, but NEEDS to go to therapy in order to get back to 100%. Unfortunately Mike doesn't have the money to pay for his Medical Bills, and DEFINITELY doesn't have the money for therapy.
That's where you come in... I have agreed to manage the money for Mike and make sure it is used for nothing other than medical expenses. We are unsure of the total cost at this point, but he is unable to work in his current state, and is unsure whenever he will be able to go back. I am 100% sure every person who is reading this can agree with me that the world would not be the same without the Legend and we need him back to himself. Every penny helps.
PS... If you are unable to donate please keep him in your heart and prayers, and continue to reach out and encourage him along this journey. Mental health is extremely important. The outreach to this point has been astounding!! Mike truly has an amazing group of friends.
