Mike Metz Recovery

The class of 1980 Indianola, is asking for your help for one of our classmates, be it through prayer or financial support. Mike Is a lifetime resident of Indianola and has worked for Indianola Municipal Utilities for the last 22 years. In 2021 Mike was diagnosed with throat cancer and at the time he endured 35 plus treatments of radiation. Each day Mike would drive himself to John Stoddard for treatment than return to Indianola and go to work. In March 2022 Mike received a clean bill of health and started to put back on the 55 pounds he had lost during his procedures. Unfortunately Mikes clean bill of health was short lived. In November Mike found out the cancer had returned. The last couple of months have been filled with doctors appointments. Recently Mike went to The University of Iowa Hospital for a consultation to determine potential treatment. For now Mike is not able to work and has been placed on short term disability. The only thing Mike has ever asked for is that people pray for his recovery. The class of 1980 is asking, that if at all possible, you can help Mike both through prayer and financial support.
