Mike Mink and Family Medical Expenses & Support

Donation protected
On Monday, November 28, Mike Mink was in a terrible accident while working in Georgia. Mike hauls gates and farm equipment for Neat out of Dunville. He was unloading his truck, and one of the pieces started to fall off. He fell, and the piece came down and landed on him. These are very heavy. He somehow was able to stand up, then started vomiting and collapsed. He was taken to the hospital and placed on life support. Mike's son was told over the phone that his neck and back were broken. He was also told that his brain had shifted and detached. He had crush trauma, and there were no surgeries they could do to help him or do anything for him because his injuries were so bad. They told the family they'd keep him on life support until they could get there to say goodbye.
On Tuesday morning, Mike showed a little improvement for the neurosurgeon to order a new CT scan. His pupil had decreased in size, so they did a CT scan which showed a small shift in his brain back the right way. The doctor decided to do the surgery to relieve pressure and put in a screw to monitor the pressure. Within an hour of the CT, they had completed the surgery, and Mike came through okay. They will know more about how he will progress within the next 3-4 days, but the doctor has told them THERE IS HOPE!!! It is a MIRACLE that they have seen the progress they have thus far with the prognosis they were given over the phone on Monday!!!

Darla is our bus driver and works at Shopville. Brittany also works at Shopville and is going to school to be a teacher. Daniel is in medical school and is there with them as well. Along with Brittany's four children and Brandon - Brittany's boyfriend. Obviously, none of them will be able to work during this terrible time. While in Georgia, they will have to pay for food, lodging, gas, etc. They will have to travel back and forth to and from Kentucky. This will not be a quick recovery process at all. It will be several months long. With Mike hurt and out of work and Darla out of work to help take care of him in another state, neither of them will have any income. The expenses have already started and will continue to add up as time goes on.

We believe and have faith in God that he will heal Mike and restore his mind and body. We are setting up this account so Darla and their kids can focus solely on loving Charlie Brown and helping him recover while hours away from their home in Shopville. These are some of the best people you will ever meet, and we all love them so dearly in our little community. Please donate if you feel led to do so and PLEASE CONTINUE PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING FOR THEIR MIRACLE!!!

****GoFundMe will not allow me to post their PayPal email without redacting it but if you would like to use PayPal instead, feel free to message me and I will give you the email!!
