Mike Noonan Ski Accident and Recovery
Donation protected
As many of you know, Mike had a skiing accident on Saturday, January 29th, while skiing at Lake Tahoe with his Creighton buddies. He was airlifted to the trauma ICU at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV. Mike suffered a spinal cord injury during the accident where he fractured/crushed his C7 and broke his pelvis. That night, Dr. Dante Vacca successfully stabilized and decompressed the C7.
On Wednesday, February 9th Mike was transferred from Renown to Shirley Ryan AbilityLab for rehab. Mike currently has sensation and movement in his arm, hands and fingers. We do not know the final prognosis but can only pray that Mike will walk and ski one day again.
We cannot thank our family, friends, and colleagues enough for all the love, support, and prayers. We are fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing people, and we know Mike will get through this with such an extensive support system.
We love you all and again cannot thank you all enough for everything.
Keep the prayers coming,
Mike and the Noonan Fam
