Mike Pope’s (ret. police officer) funeral expenses

On Saturday, November 14, 2020 our father Michael Pope passed away while awaiting a kidney transplant. As a retired police officer and fire fighter,  Michael dedicated himself to the service of others. He was a wonderful father to six children and a devoted grandfather to two grandchildren.

Micheal was a Chicago area native before moving to Northern Indiana. He served on the Milford Indiana police force and was a volunteer for the Pierceton Indiana Fire Department. He was a master electrician and was a skilled handy man. He enjoyed spending time with family.

In the summer of 2014  he became extremely ill which lead to a dire need for a kidney transplant. He had been on dialysis and has been in and out of the hospital since then. Between dialysis and the other medical expenses he and his wife Michele had not been able to save for funeral expenses. Due to the pandemic we are struggling to gather the rest of the money needed.

A small service will be held at First Baptist Church at New Haven (1716 Werling Road New Haven, IN 46774) on Saturday, November 21st, 2020 at 2 p.m. if you would like to send regards, cards, or flowers.
