Mike really needs your help!

Hello! My name’s Michael Headly & I’m fundraising because life has thrown me some serious curve balls this last year. Before I start explaining what’s happened (some of you may already know), I want it to be known that I appreciate any help given to me, especially at this time. I’m in a very deep hole without a place to go.

First of all for those that don’t know, I operate a “small business” where I work directly with adults that have disabilities with high risk behaviours. I have a few clients I’ve worked with on & off for years. Because I’m a “small business”, I continued to work through Covid & didn’t go onto the government recovery plans because I didn’t want to pay it back & I didn’t qualify (CERB/CRB), I’ve been taxed $11,050 for last year. I have to pay it back by September. This wouldn’t have been a issue if not for my recent stroke of bad luck, horrible “people” & trusting someone I shouldn’t have.

I was able to save up $5200 to go into paying my taxes off. I was in the perfect position to do that while living comfortably, working etc. I had everything planned out. Rewind to last May… a family member of mine dealing with addiction issues stole the money I had saved up in cash from my house and ran away out west to Alberta Canada. This destroyed me. A police reported filed against my own cousin. My families been torn apart… and to top it all off there’s no way to get my money back unless he returns it. I’ve had to take on 2 part time jobs which aren’t giving me the hours I need to pay off my taxes, live, etc. Piling on bills, taxes, food, gas etc. It’s been extremely difficult. I find myself losing the will to move forward daily. I can’t trust anyone, every dollar I earn goes towards taxes & bills. And it still isn’t even enough. I ask that if anyone can help me out in anyway that would be greatly appreciated!

My goal is to raise half of what I owe in taxes (I’ve been able to pay off exactly $2,230) so far & will continue to do so.

I want to continue working with adults that have disabilities as it’s my passion, but going on this road I fear I might not be able to for long. This has greatly set me back. It’s affecting my mental health as well, taking a serious toll on me. I love everyone that shares this & helps me in anyway. You are amazing, thank you for reading this, cheers!
