MIKE RUTLEDGE BATTLES STAGE 4 PANCREATIC CANCER

Our Father Mike has battled several illnesses over the past couple of years and is unable to work. Then he began to experience constant stomach pain. Unfortunately, what started as some normal stomach pains, led to more severe pains and after several doctor visits, our Dad was given the diagnosis with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer is known as the “silent killer” due to symptoms not showing until later stages. The pain and stress are hitting our family as we are shocked, saddened, and scared.

He was very hopeful for direction from the doctors to start treatment to prolong his time with his family. After several weeks of the doctors trying to figure out a plan, Mike became jaundiced and was given the devastating news that there is nothing that can be done for treatment. He is unable to eat or drink without severe pain. At this time the doctors feel hospice is the best option of care to help him have relief from the pain.

Our goal is to help provide financial assistance for any medical care, comfort care and the unfortunate reality of his diagnosis and his need for help with funeral expenses.
