Mike Squashes Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Mike is one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. Some of you know him as the drummer for Take A Chance band, others know him from church or work, but I know him as my dad. The week of Thanksgiving, Mike found out he has an aggressive form of squamous cell carcinoma. The cancer originated in his throat and has metastasized to his lymph nodes. This diagnosis came as a huge shock because recent blood work and doctors appointments were all routine.
As I'm sure you know, cancer is not only a scary diagnosis, it is an expensive one. With the upcoming treatment Mike will be undergoing, he will have to take time off from work and music. This alone will cause a financial burden, and adding medical costs will only make things harder. I've created this page to try and help my dad pay for the upcoming treatments he will be going through. I will update this page as new information comes in. Thank you so much for considering a donation - it means a lot to all of us!
Update 12/6: On December 12th Mike will be traveling to the Cleveland Clinic. He will have an 8am appointment and a 10am appointment. Please keep Mike and the doctors in your prayers on this day!
