Mike Tamburino Accessible Van

Like many of you, I found out that Mike was diagnosed with ALS while watching his social media post on a Saturday morning in February of 2017. He shared a very personal and detailed account of how he went to numerous doctors and had multiple tests done before it was confirmed, he in fact, had ALS. After watching the video for the second time, it reminded me how much courage he had to share his story so publicly, and since then, seeing and hearing how he and his family are facing ALS head on.
Mike’s life has been about being a husband, a father to four, a brother, a son, an involved community member, a coach, umpire, rock and roll enthusiast, a joker, hard worker, volunteer, and a concert groupie! Recently, ALS is starting to slow him down. He had to stop working, needs much more assistance getting dressed, or being helped to eat and uses a breathing machine as needed. He most recently had a feeding tube port placed in his abdomen. His Facebook posts will tell you to, “relax because he is fine,” it’s to keep him hydrated, and for when the time comes, to use it for his nourishment. His posts are always positive and he remains a fighter!
This Go Fund Me page for Mike and his family is to benefit him soon, as he will need transportation that will accommodate a wheelchair. I hope you will share my sentiments that he needs to be able to continue to go to concerts, sit at a ball game, go out with his family, and get to his doctor appointments.
Please help make a difference in the Tamburino's daily life and donate what you can for a wheelchair accessible van for Mike.
Thank you.
