Mike Taylor was promoted to angel on September 29, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary, his five children; Trent, Clint, Cody, Chelsea, and Courtney - and his seven grandchildren; Landon, Michael, Caleb, Sophia, Paxton, Emersyn and Nolan.
Mike was larger than life. He was the patriarch for the Taylor family, supporting his loved ones in any way he could. He was also a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews. Family was his priority and he was always eager to make those around him feel loved, cherished and celebrated.
When Mike had the opportunity to relax, he loved to play golf! He also enjoyed his hunting trips with his best buddy, Dale. Most times though, you could find Mike spending time with Mary while they doted on their grand kids; riding the mule in the high plains of Ft. Worth, vacationing on the Gulf Coast beaches, or simply swimming and cooking out in the backyard.
Mike's smile, kindness and generosity was his legacy. Paying this forward would be his wish. As his family, we want to continue his work of making others happy, or providing aid to those in need.
Many of Mike's family and friends have asked how they can contribute - or if Mike had a charity that will accept donations. All of you are wonderful for asking!
We have started this page as somewhere to show our collective appreciation. Mike wouldn't have wanted anyone to make a fuss - but would've been happy to see donations made in his name impact those individuals & community organizations that were close to him. As all of you know, Mike's first priority was making others cheerful and content.
In this sad time, the response from our family and friends has been overwhelmingly supportive. Let's celebrate Mike by being loving, kind and never forgetting to smile.
