Mike Valdez & Family Fundraiser

As many of you know, Mike has been a baseball coach within the Roseville community for 30 years. He began his coaching career in 1990 with Roseville West Little League when he was 18 years old. He continued coaching with Woodcreek Little League since the league began in 1994 and is currently with Woodcreek High School.

On July 5th Mike Valdez suffered a major heart attack and went into cardiac arrest while at home with his family. His wife was able to start CPR almost immediately as the family waited for medics to arrive. After some tests, 3 blockages of the heart were found 70%-90% blocked, as well as a blood clot in his lungs. Doctors unblocked the valves and put in 3 stints.  Mike was placed on a ventilator and taken to the ICU. By Tuesday the 21st, he was back walking and talking and was going to be released home Friday the 24th. On Thursday the 23rd he spiked a fever that got up to 105 degrees and is currently back in the ICU on the ventilator.

We are creating this gofundme to alleviate the burden of medical expenses the family is facing. The Valdez family appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers and support the Roseville community has shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly in the days to come.
