Mike's Medical Costs

I am writing on behalf of my brother, Mike McFarland.  Mike has always been a hard worker, often working two jobs to make ends meet. He has suffered from the complications of Diabetes but never stopped working.

Mike had an infection of the foot and had to be hospitalized on IV antibiotics back in December.  The infection returned resulting in recent below the knee amputation.  Since insurance would only cover 7 days of Rehab after the amputation, Mike was sent home late last week.  On Saturday morning Mike fell at home and re-opened the incision and had to have immediate surgery to close the wound. He is in the hospital again and will have to have physical therapy/rehab all over again. He is at least 4 months away from being ready for the stump to accept a prosthetic. In the meantime, Mike will be unable to work and his health insurance coverage will stop. We are asking for help to cover his mortgage and other home bills, his high medical costs and modifications to be made to his home to be handicapped accessible, until he can begin work again.
