Mike's Cancer Treatment Fund

Hi. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Mike. I'm 46 and in a battle that I never thought I would be in. Last year I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called NeuroEndocrine Carcinoma. Although it is incurable, it is controlable. However, like most folks battling cancer, even with insurance the costs of medications and treatment is astronomical. This is my current situaltion.  There is a new treatment out here in the U.S. approved in fall of 2014. Although it's been a proven medication for my type of cancer for the last 15 years or so, for some reason it's only now been approved here in the United States. Xoloda and Temador.

The problem is the cost. After my insurance, the costs for each pill is still over $250. I need 10 of them just for this next cycle, the xoloda is well over $1400  for the next 14 days of treatment. 

There's no need to get into the costs of each office visit to the doctors, the Sandostatin shot at $5,000 each along with the zomeda which keeps the calcium in my bones where it belongs.

Recieveing these treatments will allow me to have a life saving surgery in about 3 months to remove to the multiple tumors which have grown in my abdomen. I'm not only a newly wed but have two boys whom I would love to have more time with here on Earth.  Any and all help will go strictly for my treatment costs.

I've sold off all my music equipment and pretty much everything else that could be sold as well as using my entire savings that I've worked 25 years to aquire.
