Mikes Medical Journey

Donation protected
In the beggining of this year our life was perfect. I got engaged to my highschool sweetheart of the last 8 years and we were beggining to plan our fairytale forever after.
That quickly changed with no warning one day after our birthday in march. Mike woke up in the hotel room the next day and he was confused ,dizzy and not right. Within minutes mike didn't know who he was, couldn't function and had crazy behaviors that no one could explain. He was put into a coma and we were told that they weren't sure if mike would wake up and if he did ,he probably wouldn't know who we were. I felt my whole world come crashing down all at once.
Five days later mike woke up out of the coma and with only a few physical challenges, he seemed normal. Me and his family just cried of joy an relief. We knew it would take some time to recover, so we went home happy that he was gonna be ok and started back on with our life.
Little did we know, that was just the beggining of his journey. Within the last seven months mike has been back in the hospital more times than I can count. We are back about every two weeks, sometimes twice in one week. He wakes up with these "episodes" where he is confused, can't talk , extreme heacache, no balance, can't walk, cant sit up,vomiting, etc. Each time the symptoms are different so its hard to predict what each day will bring .They have done every test in the book and Drs are still unable to give us a diagnosis. We have medical bills coming in every week and its very hard to keep up and be positive when we just keep being sent home with no answers or help at all. We just sit around waiting for the next episode to come on.We would like to raise money for a consult with one of the top neuro centers in the country: Cornell -Weil medical university in NYC. We have been told mike has a rare case and its gonna take the best resources to figure out what it is. Unfortunately, Insurance does not cover this out of network expense so we are turning to our family and friends for even a dollar donation towards this visit. This visit with a top neurologist could possibly change his life, because we cant keep going on like this, not being able to treat his unknown diagnosis. Mike also is a type one diabetic so between the daily struggle of that auto immune disease and now this, he is having a very hard time from day to day. If you can't donate please just keep us in your prayers. I just want to see the love of my life better.
Love, Mike, Paige and the Allen family ❤
