Mikey Lasher and Family

Friends, family, and those we have yet to meet, I am writing this message on behalf of my son, Michael Lasher, his wife Ashley, and their 2 sons Andy (4) and Jack (8 months). My name is Michelle, and I am Mikey’s mother.

On Tuesday, October 10th, Mikey was admitted to Moses Cone Hospital with Diverticulitis and an abscess the size of a tennis ball. A drain was inserted to try and clear the infection, but his journey of healing is just beginning. He will need a part of his colon removed due to the damage done by the infection and recovery for this is expected to take a couple of months.

Mikey is the sole bread winner for his family, and they have been left with the crisis of how to manage the next couple of months without an income.

This is where I get to the point of my message. They need any financial assistance that you can provide. While the VA (Mikey is a retired Marine) will likely cover the majority of his medical expenses, the family is not prepared for the loss of 2-3 months of income.
