Mikhaela J. Gillman
Donation protected
I am Anthony (Tony) Lavenia, I have been Gina Gillman’s partner for the past 5 ½ years. As you may know, Gina’s daughter, Mikhaela, recently passed away on February 11, 2024. Mikhaela was a wonderful young woman who touched the lives of those around her. We are all devastated by Mikhaela’s loss and were unprepared for the high cost of final expenses. We want to give Mikhaela the send-off she deserves, honor her memory, and say our final goodbyes.
During her short life, Mikhaela harnessed many passions, one of which was a love for science. She received a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and was pursuing a Ph.D. at the State University of New York at Albany. Mikhaela also worked as a teacher's assistant at UAlbany, offering her services to professors and peers. Her field of research was Entropic Dynamics.
Mikhaela was insatiable about the cosmos and dreamed of being an astronaut or exploring the stars. She was fascinated by the mysticism and beauty of our solar system and wanted to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of it.
Full of spirit and kindness, Mikhaela was a true humanitarian at heart who advocated for the eradication of hate in the world. She was an open advocate for women, minority groups, and wildlife, and was a champion for her fellow human beings.
We have received an overwhelming amount of support from our friends and family, and we are currently seeking donations to help cover the expenses for Mikhaela's memorial and final arrangements. 100% of the donations will be allocated to these expenses and estate expenses. Our goal is to raise $8,000 by April 15, 2024, which will cover the costs of the memorial visitation on April 6, 2024. We believe that the financial burden of these expenses should not be a worry for us during this difficult time. Your contributions will help ease this burden for us.
