Miles for Mary Glenn in honor of David Warder

It's that time of year again when I lace up my sneakers with some dear friends and run in an effort to fight the epidemic of teen suicide. Many of you, like me, have needlessly lost a young person you love too soon. In honor of the beautiful lives of Mary Glenn Oliver and David Warder (April 26th, 2005 - March 23, 2025), we want to continue to raise awareness and funds to further research and resources that support the mental health of our young people.

Research indicates that suicide among high schoolers and young adults is still on the rise. In the last year, nearly 22% reported seriously considering suicide, 18% made a plan, and 10% attempted at least once. One in three teen girls said they seriously considered suicide in the last year, and suicide continues to be the second leading cause of death among 10-24 year-olds.

On Sunday, April 27th, I will run the Maybelline Women's Half Marathon in New York City's Central Park, with Mary Glenn's mom Sara, to raise money to benefit The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS). I hope many of you will run or walk that day wherever you are in support of this important cause. Would you also consider financially supporting our run? Any donation will help make an impact.
