Military and First Responder family in need

Donation protected

Jacqueline Ricigliano has been fighting breast cancer for many years with the help and support of her military/first responder family; husband Mark, a Police Sergeant, and her children, Drew who is an active duty Marine currently deployed to Afghanistan, Faith, Colton, and Kiley. They have recently incurred financial hardship and are in need of immediate help. Raising money through GoFundMe and asking for help is not something taken lightly. We want finances to be the last thing occupying Jacki's mind. Not only has the cancer taken a toll physically and mentally, but financially as well. The money raised here will help reduce the financial stress placed on the family as Jacki continues her battle against cancer!

Please feel free to share this fundraiser with family and friends to continue the support for Jacki.

Please take a minute to read Jacki's story:

In November of 2018, I found a small hard spot about the size of a grain of rice. I couldn't get in to see my primary until Jan 2019. Many tests later and a biopsy in April of 2019, I was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in my left breast. I elected to have a bilateral mastectomy in order to lessen my chances of the cancer reoccurring.

My mastectomy was in June of 2019, however, when they went in it had grown much larger and faster than it should have, even into my skin. That surgery was 18 hours long. I was told I didn't need radiation and my numbers said I didn't need chemo either. By October of 2019 I was doing my thing with remodeling the kitchen and cutting wood for the winter. I kept having ridiculous pain in my pelvis and between my shoulder blades.

At a follow-up with my plastic surgeon, I mentioned it and was sent for more tests. A few weeks later.. BAM!! Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer that spread to my bones. My entire pelvis, tops of both femurs, my ENTIRE spinal column, 4 ribs and a collar bone.

I was blasted with so much radiation I should glow in the dark. I was given two kinds of chemo, both of which my body reacted to horribly. I am hormone + so I have to have monthly injections to help keep the cancer from feeding off of them. This has made me unable to produce my own body heat in the winter and conversely, cool myself in the summer. I already have RSD, which I've had for 22 yrs and that pain battles with the cancer pain to see which can hurt me the worst.
