Military Healthcare killed my wife and VA is me.

Thanks for reading this, my name is Ken, my wife's name is Dani.
In 2015 my wife was diagnosed with terminal metastatic breast cancer. The cancer was in her bones, liver and brain and she was given two years to live. Thank God she is still around and this Christmas season will mark eight years since her diagnosis. Unironically she had complained about a lump in her breast for three years and asked for a biopsy to be done to no avail. When the military finally conducted the biopsy she was diagnosed with the aforementioned results.
Fast forward to today, I have pulled out all of my savings and sold all of my stocks and investments to pay for Healthcare premiums and fees inbetween jobs and lapses in her Healthcare coverage. I'm fighting the VA for benefits and have no income. I was a correctional officer during COVID and could not care for my wife with all of the mandatory overtime. On top of being overworked, the Healthcare we had at the time would deny her vital treatments and medications as her cancer needs changed. I have been suicidal for the last three to four years as I truly feel that I have failed her. I sold my dream car to help pay bills shortly after our beloved husky Rico had to be put down from cancer.
We did not ask for cancer. I have tried my best, I have always put my wife first but neglected myself in the process. This self neglect has ruined me as a person. I'm seeking help, but I am not ashamed to admit we are literally charity cases at this point. It is OK not to be OK but it also never hurts to ask for help. I'm trying, God knows I am trying to do my best and keep us from losing our house. God bless all of you and thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Another Broken Warrior
