Mill Creek Park Save the Deer

Hello, my name is Mickey Drabison, my mission, and the mission of this group is for the long term interest of our Mill Creek Park.

Mill Creek Park has a total of 5000 acres, that is 7.812 square miles. They claim there are 397 deer per square mile. No way is there that many deer and I don't know anyone other than the Park Board that agrees with that number. They need to use such an inflated number to justify their plan to kill them.

The Parks plan is to BAIT the deer at night and use SHARPSHOOTERS to slaughter them. Since they plan to start in mid September, that would be Mama deer with their baby fawns.

We have 3 white deer, who are not Albino, but have that special gene. People come from all over hoping to catch a glimpse of them. Many times you can see Professional Photographers walking the paths hoping to get the little newborn doe wobbling after her mama.

People and nature come together at Mill Creek Park to take a break from everyday stress and pressure. Many people have told me how they could take a walk in the Park during Covid, and it relieved their anxiety when they would see a fawn with her Mom walking among the trees. Neighbors close to our Park, can sit on their deck, sip their coffee and enjoy the breathtaking deer should they make an appearance that morning.

As citizens who cherish and enjoy this park every day, we must speak up and try to stop the unnecessary slaughter of these beautiful animals. We are asking for donations to help us get the word out and for the attorney who has agreed to help us in our fight.
