Millet Family Flood Disaster Fund
Donation protected
I am reaching out on behalf of a co-worker and friend who, like so many, has been tragically effected by the floods in Baton Rouge area. Debbie Millet is one of Southern Hardwood Company's amazing employees who helps me (as well as the other outside sales team) on a daily basis to make sure we have everything we need to help us sell what we need to to make money to support our families.
Debbie and her family have lost everything they own this weekend due to the flooding in Louisiana. Thier home, vehicle, clothing, peronal and sentimental items that can never be replaced. She is the sole provider for her household. Her husband was recently diagnosed with cancer last month and she has been taking care of her elderly mother who is bedridden and lives with her as well and have medical bills to no end.
When Debbie evacuated her home yesterday it had 5' of water standing in it. Like others, she has no flooding insurance.
She literally has no shoes on her feet. She lost the only pair she had with her trying to get her mother from a rescue boat walking againt the stream that was chest deep on Range Ave. She has yet to be united with her husband, but attempted to bring one extra set of clothes for him, but gave them away at the shelter as she got there to a man that soiled himself.
Debbie sacrifices so much and is such an angel on earth and her co-workers would like to try and raise as much money as we can to help her and her family.
PLEASE DONATE ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN TO HELP THIS FAMILY AFFORD A PLACE TO STAY AS THEY GET BACK ON THEIR FEET AND PUT THEIR LIFES BACKTOGETHER!
