ABC 7 Story 

Milo was found on top of a Hollywood apartment rooftop the day he was  supposed to picked up from his stay with a dog sitter hired through the Rover app. The dog sitter had notified us that Milo went loose 15 minutes before arrival, and when we arrived we started searching for him for hours. We looked all throughout the apartment building he was staying at and did a 1 mile radius search around the neighborhood. After 2 hours of searching the neighborhood, we came back to the apartment building and tried to squeak his toy throughout the apartment to see if Milo was in one of the apartments. We proceeded to squeak the toy and heard a cry from what sounded like it was coming from an apartment, but later discovered the crying was coming from the adjacent building's rooftop. He was found on a 2 story rooftop injured. LAPD and Animal Cruelty Services is currently working on the case to find out exactly how this has happened.

 Milo suffered a broken spine and wrist, resulting in a highly possible permanent paralysis to his rear legs. 

The surgeon who operated on him said the prognosis is grim.

"The broken back with this type of severity (means he will be) most likely permanently paralyzed "

To ensure Milo's health, we will be sending Milo to a rehabilitation center for therapy treatments. It will take lots of time and patience before he recovers ( months to a year or more) . He may also be on medications along this journey and maybe the remainder of his life. Our expenses for the surgery are said to be covered by Rover through their guarantee, however, these expenses for the rehabilitation and further medication  may not be covered by Rover since their guarantee is only up to 30 days. 

**UPDATE** 

The  doctors at Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center located in Torrance offered to treat Milo until he recovers fully and able to walk again with any amount leftover after the surgeries that are being paid under the Rover guarantee. Thank you Dr. Kramer, Milo's new therapist and Dr. Voulgaris, Milo's new Rehabilitation Specialist Acupuncturist for the generous support!
