Milo's Emergency Surgery and Therapy

Friends, family, and possible strangers of Gabby and Patrek, Our friend Gabby woke up in the middle of the night on Friday, July 7th, to find one of her beloved dachshunds, Milo, had become paralyzed in his back legs. Unsure of what was happening, she rushed him to Iowa Vet Specialities, where he was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) at 3 years old. Following this diagnosis, Milo was sent back for emergency surgery to repair his spine, and as of now, he remains under close watch of vet staff at the hospital and in the coming weeks will begin 6-8 weeks of rehab and intensive physical therapy. The vet bill for their sweet boy has totalled over $3,000 so far and is continuing to rise daily. We want to ease the burden of the costs for them, as they recently got engaged and have started planning their wedding. The money received will go directly towards existing and future vet bills and rehabilitation costs at ISU Vet Specialities, allowing for Gabby and Patrek to focus on Milo's long journey of healing.
