Hello Family and Friends.
We represent the family, friends and close community of Mimi Norwood. We're writing you in hopes of your prayers and support to help Mimi in one of the most challenging chapters of her life.
In 2019, Mimi was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, which is part of a long battle she has endured with chronic kidney disease. She is currently undergoing dialysis treatments that gives her a fighting chance until a suitable donor match can be found for a life-saving kidney transplant.
As a registered nurse for more than 20 years, Mimi has been on the front lines of saving lives in emergency rooms across the country. However, Mimi has been unable to return to work during the pandemic as it places her highly at risk for contracting the virus and she has been medically advised against doing so. As you can imagine, the host of medical expenses for labs, medical procedures, prescriptions, medical equipment and the such have added up quickly. This, coupled with the estimated portion of a proposed transplant, has become overwhelming. Health care in America - an entire other topic.
We realize that these are difficult times for so many with the threat and very real impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you can, we would certainly appreciate any contribution you might be able to make to this campaign. There is not an amount too small and each and every potential donation matters and is very much appreciated.
