Help Mimi's Attic Survive the Recession

Mimi's Attic is a locally queer- & woman-owned business outfitting New York State's Finger Lakes and Southern Tier region with previously enjoyed furniture, household goods, and home decor. The store also carries and promotes original products from local artists and artisans.

Ian and Amanda purchased Mimi's Attic from its founder in November of 2020 with dreams of continuing the legacy of being the only furniture consignment shop in New York's Southern Tier while developing and promoting an LGBTQIA+ positive atmosphere for our employees and customers. Our company is dedicated to treating all community members ethically and promoting environmental sustainability, despite these values sometimes conflicting with standard recommended business practices.

With the current economic recession and inflation impacting our operating costs, we're finding it difficult to make ends meet and are looking for any available support to help pay our employees and rent. At the same time, we continue to seek alternate revenue streams that will allow us to continue to serve the local community in a changing financial landscape.
