Sophia Rita School of Rock Tour Go Fund Me by Mimi

Sophia Rita is a young, talented singer/songwriter/composer from New York who is making a name for herself in the kids' fashion, music, and entertainment industry. Despite still attending middle school, she has already performed at some of the most prestigious venues in New York City, including Carnegie Hall, Apollo Theater, and The Bitter End NYC.

Sophia is part of the School of Rock Port Jefferson, a wonderful performance-based music education program that helps aspiring musicians master skills, unleash creativity and develop the tools they need to thrive in the music industry and life. The School of Rock has become a rapidly growing international franchise with over 500 schools open across 19 global markets.

This July, Sophia's School of Rock House band will be embarking on a really amazing National Summer Tour, traveling from New York to Chicago and making stops in NJ, PA, OH, and Cleveland for a multitude of performances in some iconic venues across the states including the World famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This tour will allow these kids to experience new places and meet new people, which can be incredibly inspiring and influence their musical style. Sophia and her fellow students will gain real music experience associated with gigging musicians and become leaders and mentors in the School of Rock community. The tour creates unforgettable memories and stories, and these experiences can be life-changing, shaping a student's personal and professional future.

However, we are living in a time of inflation and this touring can be quite expensive, costing each child close to $2500 plus spending! All the parents spend their lifetimes working countless hours to aimlessly support the musical dreams of their children and I feel that every little bit can help take some of the pressure off all of these parents. The house band students individually and alongside the school and its teachers/directors have also joined forces together to start a collaboration of personal and school-related local fundraising projects such as car washes from now until the summer, but they need more support.

I am pleased to announce that I am launching a "Mimi’s Musical Go-Fund Me" campaign to help my granddaughter and the rest of her friends achieve their goal of participating in this tour. We need to raise as much as possible to assist these kids in paying for their trips. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will directly impact the lives of these students. By supporting these young musicians, you're not only helping them achieve their dreams but also fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. They'll learn to work together, support each other, and handle the challenges of traveling and performing as a group.
