Mind in Motion: Clearing the Path to Mental Wellness

Tax deductible
A little bit about us:

We’re a team of students raising money for the Mental Health Collaborative (MHC). A nonprofit organization designed to increase mental health literacy by offering education, resources, and advocacy.
By giving schools, workplaces, and communities the information and resources necessary to comprehend mental health and the tools to address it, MHC helps consumers change current practices in their communities while raising awareness of the illness and removing stigma. We believe everyone deserves access to mental health resources and support. The struggles are often kept in the shadows, but we want to make a change and share our message.

Each of us has been personally affected by mental health challenges, and that’s why we’re committed to making a difference. Your support will help create a community where mental wellness is a priority.
It is a fact that mental health issues are a leading concern in the United States, and millions of adults suffer from these annually, which equals the rate of one in every five people. About sixty percent of the people affected fail to seek treatment because of stigmatization and other financial constraints (Mongelli, Georgakopoulos, & Pato, 2020). These conditions can affect relationships, productivity, and quality of life at home, work, and in the community. This goes a long way to explain why the likes of MHC must develop supportive and informed societies. Nevertheless, prejudice and myths do not let people seek the help they need. MHC enables people to identify the signs and seek reliable assistance in its initial stages and invites potential solutions for an effective mental health safety net (Reupert et al., 2020).

How the money will be used?
All the income received through this campaign will be spent on MHC’s key activities, including facets of mental well-being being taught in schools, workshops, and awareness sessions, besides training teachers, parents, and employers. They help create supportive cultures through a method that involves raising concern, offering early identification courses, and training people to assist others in distress. Thus, it means that each dollar received allows MHC to reach more people and arm them with knowledge about mental health.

Where you can I find more information ?
A participant, for instance, said, ‘Critical training for today’s parents! This program provided me with a clear framework for recognizing mental illness and knowing when to take action. As a result, I feel more confident navigating these conversations with my teens. This story shows how MHC changes the lives of those who suffer from stigma and helps them fight it and turn to it for support.
