We have come together to launch a fundraiser to ensure that our home school classes have everything we need to succeed. Our school supply drive has one aim – to ensure that we have access to the same supplies provided by a traditional school. As we get higher up in grade and with the demands of more in-depth classes, it is difficult to meet the needs of the course syllabus to move us to the next levels.

We are asking for ongoing donations with the quarterly goal of $7,000.00 every three months to cover everything from pencils, pens, notebooks, 3-ring binders, folders, erasers, rulers, glue sticks and liquid glue, left- & right-handed scissors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, highlighters, index cards, whiteboards, dry erase markers, course books (our library), storage bins, containers, and shelves to store bins, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper (lined and plain), staplers, staples, and staple pullers, tape - double-sided, clear, and masking tape, tablet, projector (for lessons), computer, printer, lesson planner, grade book, desk, desk organizer, tutoring, and tuitions for special classes.

I, Ava Davis, with my mother, will be going door to door to promote my fundraiser and sell candy. All proceeds made will go directly to the cost of schooling expenses. My great-grandmother was a school teacher for 32 years in the William C. Jack Elementary School District. My mom was raised in the classroom helping my great-grandma, and getting a quality education is important to them both. It is now important to me as well. I am, however, neurodivergent and have special needs that the schools no longer had funds to support. We opted for home school in October 2019, and then COVID hit in March of 2020, and we have been working daily to meet the needs of the state's expectations to keep me on track to graduation.
