Mindy Gundlach Toay Medical Bills

Hello! My name is Mindy Gundlach Toay. I am 48 and usually very active with grandkids, hiking, camping, kayaking, BBQs and whatever else comes along. I like helping others and pitching in when needed. This is hard to say, however I need some help.

I have recently been diagnosed with MS. At the beginning of June, my right leg started to go numb/tingly. It felt like it was a sleep and just didn't want to wake up. However it did not stop or slow me down. Business as usual. The week of June 20th, it kicked into high gear, getting worse and affecting the left side. Within a week, I no longer have any feeling below the waste.

After two trips to Urgent Care, a week stay at the hospital and several tests, the diagnois came in. I have MS!?!?! I have some lesions on the brain and I have one in the middle of the spine. Below the lesion on the spine, I am numb. Above I am file. The only saving grace is I am not in pain.

I started a new job in January and my insurance is not as good as I used to have. UW Madison has been consulting on everything along the way, so that will be an additional cost. My hours are also going to be varied because of the numerous doctor apppointments I will be having and the side affects from the prescriptions I am now on. Some make me very tired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
