Mindy Vanatter Fight Breast Cancer

Mindy Vanatter is a wife, mother, daughter, and friend, who was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer, Grade 3, on December 12th, 2022. Mindy was united in marriage to Tony Vanatter on August 6, 2022, after reuniting 30 years after dating in high school. Mindy is a mom and stepmom to six children. Mason Tomash, 26, Chaz Vanatter, 22, Taylor Vanatter, 21, Mead Tomash, 20, Molly Tomash, 18, and Kylie Vanatter, 16. We can’t forget about their sweet rescue dog, Buddy. Mindy loves life and enjoying those moments with her family and friends. Mindy works for AgVantage FS, Eldora, as an Administrative Assistant. She also works part time cleaning a local business. Mindy’s life is full of joy because of the people who are in it and appreciates all the support she has received during this time.

On December 15th Mindy discovered her breast cancer was triple negative, a form of breast cancer that does not have any of the receptors commonly found in breast cancer (visit: cancer.org for more information), making it the most aggressive form. Mindy started chemotherapy in January 2023 and during this process, Mindy was informed, she also has Graves’ Disease due to her hyperthyroid. Mindy is set to have a Double Mastectomy with reconstruction surgery on July 19th, 2023.

While this journey is not only a physically and emotional process, but also a financial hardship. Due to the upcoming surgery, Mindy, will not be able to work for up to three months.
