Mini Marathon for Friends of Plymtree School
Following on from the success of last years Mini Marathon which raised a fantastic sum of money for FOPS to support Plymtree School. The children are keen to do their bit and take part again this year, which happens to also be a very special year - the celebration of 150 years of Plymtree School!
We will be giving the children the option to decide whether they run 1, 2 or 3 laps of the village, so everyone can challenge themselves depending on their own individual ability.
This year there’s a twist: every child who takes part can achieve a Guinness World Records title and set a new world record! The world record the children in your school can break is: ‘The most pledges received for an exercise campaign in one month’. If we are successful, then every registered school will receive a certificate from Guinness World Records completely free of charge. It will be ours to keep and display in school.
The run will take place on Friday 21st of April. We hope you will get the behind the children and spur them on with your donations, and if you can come along and cheer them on their way past!
Many thanks for supporting FOPS
