Mini Mix'd is a group of 11 young women who believe in the power of dance as form of expression, a tool for communication and a medium for building connection and community. They are the all-girl junior company of Mix'd Ingrdnts that are the ages of 10-18 years old.
Every summer in July, the Ladies of Hip Hop Festival takes place in New York. Michele, Director of LOHH offered the girls a scholarship to the Festival if they could get to NYC this summer.
The 4-day LOHH Festival has been going on for 10 years now, and is created by women, for women. Each year the Festival offers artistic training workshops, performance opportunities, international artist exchanges, public talks, artistic life training and female entrepreneurship and empowerment opportunities.
This will be such a great experience for the girls to grow individually and as a team. This trip will leave such an empowering and inspirational impression on these young girls lives.
In order to make this happen we will need to raise a minimum of $5,000 by the end of May to cover all 11 girls:
- Plane tickets/Transportation
- Hotel
- Food
- a little NY sightseeing
