Minnie (Lois) McConnell’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Minnie (Lois) McConnell was a vibrant, high spirited, dependable, sweet soul. She was a bright light in a world that can sometimes feel so dark. Minnie loved her job at Corning Painted Post High School as an aide, getting to know and interact with her students and becoming very fond of her coworkers, who quickly turned into good friends. Minnie was a mom before anything else. As she would tell you, her girls, April and Beth, are her pride and joy. She also leaves behind one granddaughter who was the absolute light of her life. Her world truly revolved around her “grand baby” and the countless story times, dance parties, and adventures they went on together.
Minnie was hospitalized with COVID-19 on August 20th, 2021. 4 Days later she was intubated and sent to Guthrie Robert Packer hospital where she fought a long, hard, roller coaster of a fight against this virus. On Sunday, October 3rd, Minnie took a turn for the worse and her system started shutting down. In the following days, her family and healthcare team made the best decisions for Minnie in hope there was something that could be done. On October 7th, 2021, Minnie was called home to be with God. As her daughters proceed to arrange services to honor this beautiful life, please consider donating to ensure Minnie is honored the way she so tremendously deserves to be.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful healthcare team that took care of Minnie and became her family over the almost 2 months she was in the hospital. We would also like to thank the countless people who have reached out and supported Minnie and her family in so many different ways. It hasn’t gone unnoticed and we are forever grateful to have such a wonderful support system, and so many people who love Minnie so much, just as she loved everyone in return.
