ABOUT MINOTAUR

Minotaur is the most feared drum robot at Battlebots, having made it to the Season 2 semi-finals and the Season 3 final event. He currently stands as the fourth best combat robot in the world and was granted the award of Most Destructive Robot at Battlebots in 2016.
RioBotz is also popularly recognised for our famous combat robot tutorial. It is considered the most acclaimed guide for building combat robots, being used by passionate builders worldwide and our 16 thousand followers on social media.

We are seeking financial support to help make it possible for us to represent Brazil at the next edition of Battlebots. Battlebots is the most
renowned combat robot competition in the world, coveted by all of those involved in the sport and, most of all, by the RioBotz team, that
dreams of taking the winning title home.


ABOUT RIOBOTZ

Founded in 2003, under the supervision of Professor Marco Antônio Meggiolaro, PhD from MIT, RioBotz is the robotics team of PUC-Rio, a university in Rio de Janeiro. We are the world’s biggest award-winning robotics team, having won over 90 championships and finished on the podium in over 180 competitions.
We design, optimize and construct mechanical structures, locomotion systems and actuators. Although we focus on combat robots, our research group has also developed systems for the medical, military and oil and energy industries.
