Stronger Together: Supporting 'Dena Fire Victims

Dear 'Dena Community & Beyond,
The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated our community, leaving over 100 families—our cherished patients at Mint Dental Loft—without homes, belongings, and a sense of security. These are more than just patients to us; they are our neighbors, our friends, and part of our family.
The fires destroyed homes filled with a lifetime of memories, treasures, and irreplaceable belongings. The loss felt by our community has been overwhelming, and we are heartbroken for every family impacted.
All contributions will go directly to helping these families rebuild their lives—helping with relocation costs, essential needs, and beginning the long journey of recovery.

Meet the Families You Are Helping:
Karla Perdomo – "Me and my family were affected by the wildfires of Eaton, in Altadena. The fire completely burned down our home and we didn’t have a chance to recover anything. We have been out of a home for the past few months. Living from Airbnb to hotels to staying with friends. It’s amazing what mint dental loft is doing for the community of Altadena by raising money for those affected."
Rae & Jerry Murbach – "The wildfires changed our lives dramatically--overnight we lost everything and needed to find a place to stay. Luckily, my sister and her husband welcomed us to move in with them for a week while we tried to figure things out. Immediately, we needed to buy essential items--laptop computers, clothing, toiletries, etc.and adjust to being homeless--it sure made us appreciate what we had. Our life now is dealing with our insurance company, evaluating our ability to rebuild, and getting our lives back on track. We are so fortunate to have friends, family, and organizations to help us on this difficult road. Slowly, but surely, we are making progress--however, we have a long way to go. We are very grateful that so many people care about victims of the Eaton Canyon Fire. It is especially touching that your entire staff dedicated time to help those of us who lost their homes. Words cannot express how we feel. We are so thankful that so many people care--it is very difficult losing everything and trying to rebuild our lives. During this difficult time, we have met so many wonderful people--those in our same situation and those willing to help. Altadena is a wonderful place to live and with hard work, dedicated residents, and support, it will thrive. "
Meryl Vedros – "I had to permanently relocate from our 3 bedroom house in Altadena. We are currently in temporary housing in a 1 bedroom AirBnB in Los Feliz with no plans to find permanent housing anytime soon. My fiance Jason and I plan to get married in 2 months, and there's a lot of fear ahead for us that we don't have a permanent home to return to."
Jazmin Leos - "The wildfires completely changed my family & my life. On the night of the wildfires, we were home with our newborn baby (one month old at the time) when we got the alert that we had to evacuate. We quickly evacuated once we got the alert. The only things I was able to/thought to grab was a diaper bag with a few necessities for my baby (diapers, cream, socks, wipes) & our two cats. My boyfriend and I only left with the clothes on our back, not thinking we would lose everything within the next hour. The next morning when we found out our house completely burned, along with all of our belongings, we also found out that we had gotten out just in time as our house completely burned 30 minutes after we left. Never did we think we would lose EVERYTHING & wouldn’t have a home to go back to. Being one month post partum & going through what we went through during that time, has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I still don’t think I’ve processed what happened.. sometimes it feels like I’m in a dream, (more like a nightmare). We are currently living in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with my boyfriend’s mom, his sister & her 3 cats (we have 5 cats in total now) which has been an adjustment in itself as we all had our own spaces before the fire & now we all have to share a space, with our three month old baby as well. What was supposed to be a period of newborn bliss & our babies first home quickly changed….We are very thankful to mint dental lofts help in raising money for us & many others in our community during this difficult time. The money will be used to buy some essentials for us & our baby. We will also be saving some money so that when the time comes for us to move back to Altadena, we can start over & buy furniture & everything else we lost in the fires. Thank you to mint dental loft & our community for all your help & support. We will rebuild and see you soon Dena! "
And many more to come...
We will continue updating this section as we distribute funds to community members in need.

Together, we can provide hope and relief to these families as they begin to rebuild their lives. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. We are forever grateful for this amazing community.
