On November 11, 2023, four year old Thomas Minter passed from our world to Heaven. Tommy was a ray of sunshine, brightening every room with his giggles and smiles. He dreamed of becoming a superhero and wore his Spider-Man costume with pride. He loved to be the source of playful mischief and had a smirk that let you know he was up to something silly. Tommy loved his sisters, Colette (age 7) and Elise (age 3), with all his heart. He was a wonderful friend, with an innate sense of kindness and generosity. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of the countless people who loved him deeply.

The sudden and unexpected loss of a child is something no family should have to bear, and certainly not bear alone. Nicole and Brad spend their days helping others through their work at both Stony Brook Children's Hospital and Mather Hospital. Now it is our turn to do the same for them. The Minter family has its roots in the Setauket community. Tommy spent his time as a PreK student at Nassakeag Elementary School where his sister Colette is in second grade. His sister Elise spends her time at Playgroups school. In this time of sorrow, let us come together to support the Minter family in whatever they may need. Any amount, no matter the size, will make a difference.
