Miracle Yoga Mat Baby

To my dear community!
On my way to work on Monday morning I noticed a car parked in the middle of the street right after a bridge between Brickell and Downtown. After taking a closer look I saw a pregnant woman, a man, a little girl, and an older lady. The pregnant woman was wearing a dress and her legs were covered in blood.
At that point I also left my car in the middle of the street to see if I could help. After calling 911 the woman on the phone asked me to “take a look” and tell her what I see. She asked me if I had anything in my car that we could use for the pregnant lady to lay down on. I had a yoga mat in my car and for some very strange reason also two bags of Chicken and The Egg restaurant rags. The woman on the phone then told me to take a deep breath and “stay calm” because: “you have to deliver the baby now, you don’t have time to wait for the ambulance.”
Mom and I delivered baby Darlie on a boardwalk in Downtown Miami at 8:45 am on 02/07.
Darlie’s Mom, Dad and 4-year-old sister traveled from Haiti to Chile. After life became more difficult in Chile due to the pandemic they decided to make their way to the United States for the opportunity of a better life. After 3 long months of bus rides and walking through 11 countries, while experiencing mental and physical hardships, including being robbed multiple times, the family finally made it to Miami.
They are in need of a home, clothing, food and money for medical bills.
I believe that our community will help this beautiful family find the life they’re looking for, and start on their path towards the American dream.
My relationship to the family: I have met the family when Darlie's mom and I delivered her in Downtown. Since then I am helping the family with doctor's appointments, transportation, looking for a home and buying basic needs.
The funds will be transferred into my bank account until we open up a bank account for Darlie. The family is aware of the funds and I am currently handling their bills until the family has their own bank account.
