Miranda Rivers's Trypanophobia Treatment

Hello, my name is Miranda Rivers. I am the owner of Rivers Yard Service in beautiful Nevada County, where I live with my lovely mom and awesome critters - two kitties, two Muscovy ducks, and two dogs that are my trusted sidekicks.

My life’s journey began in Russia where my birth mother abandoned me at two days old, leaving me fighting alone to survive a whirlwind of medical issues. By the grace of God, my wonderful adoptive mother saved me and brought me to America by my first birthday. Unfortunately, severe health issues have continued to plague me as I struggle to overcome PTSD, hyper-sensitivity to sounds and movements, panic attacks, concussions, ongoing dental infections, and more.

After decades of therapy, research, and meeting a whole slew of medical professionals, I have been diagnosed with an extreme case of trypanophobia - a severe fear of needles. This debilitating disease is hindering my entire life, and preventing the necessary, life-saving dental treatments I need to allow me to resume my life and good work.

It has been determined by my medical team that I qualify for an intensive month-long phobia treatment program which has a high success rate…and a premium fee of $14,000. Gulp. Additionally, I will also need to secure dog-friendly accommodations, manage my business from afar, cope with being separated from my home and family, and figure out how to pay for dental implants, bridges, etc. I am terrified and overwhelmed and underprepared. I am so desperate to escape this chronic pain, and the mental wear and tear associated with it. I want my life

I am turning to you, my village, to ask for help in getting me through this overdue treatment. My goal is to enter the program by February 2024, and begin life-saving dental work in the months to follow. I am asking for contributions to help cover the cost of the program, my temporary lodging, and living expenses during that time. Anything helps.
