Miranda's double lung transplant
Donation protected
Miranda is my 25 year old daughter who, after years of a persistent coughing issue and various doctor visits that misdiagnosed her issue, was recently and finally diagnosed with ILD - interstitial lung disease. This has seen her move near full time to oxygen while making copious medical visits to try and discern our path forward, which now looks to be that of a double lung transplant.
She has lived a healthy life to this point, working since she was 17 at various jobs - most recently at a local pet resort. - but this disease has limited her independence and taken her fully out of work as a result. As this double lung transplant looks to be our best way forward in the hopes of getting her anywhere near healthy again, we’ve been steadily preparing for the procedure and this page is part of that, as the doctors and financial advisors have informed us of the need for help on this matter. This is due both to the care she'll require, and given the requirement of living a short distance from the hospital wherein she’ll be receiving said care for at least six months during and afterward.
While there is no set date as of writing this, we’d like to follow their advice and be as prepared financially as we can manage. The money will be going towards alleviating the stress of this situation, from living near the hospital and the amenities that this will demand to the various medical bills and beyond. Any donation would help just as sharing this page will, and for those looking to use a more direct method like Cashapp, our family's tag is $spidyhog.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for any help we receive.
