Mira’s Heartbreaking Journey: A Family’s Struggle
Donation protected
Mira, a devoted family member, lives in a family of five in a border area constantly affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Each escalation, each bout of fighting, has left its mark on their lives.
In the last conflict before the recent war, a rocket hit their home, almost costing them their lives and requiring extensive repairs that drained their savings. Despite the struggles, Mira and her family managed to rebuild, only to face an even greater tragedy in the latest war.
This time, their home was completely destroyed by relentless bombings, leaving them with nothing. Forced to flee multiple times, they have lived in extremely difficult conditions, constantly on the move, trying to find a safe place to stay.
Now, Mira and her family are attempting to piece their lives back together, collecting whatever they can to relocate to a safer place. Living in a border area where the threat of violence looms constantly makes it impossible for Mira to provide a secure environment for her family.
Note from the organizer* My name is Kristen. I am an actress and educator living in Astoria, New York. Almost everyone in Gaza has lost their homes, all of their possessions, and livelihoods. The basic necessities are nearly impossible to find, and the costs for things like water is astronomical. A small pack of water can cost $50 or more. Evacuation fee's cost anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 per person. Tents can cost $3,000, and basic medicine and food costs continue to rise each day. Everyone in Gaza has become ill or injured, and everyone is starving. Please do what you can to help this family.
