Miracle for Miguel

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

As a husband, I am deeply saddened by the recent news my spouse Miguel received regarding his health only a few days ago. We are devastated to share that Miguel was just diagnosed with a brain tumor and a rapidly growing mass that has completely changed our lives in the blink of an eye. Despite this unforeseen and unfortunate event, we remain hopeful and optimistic that Miguel, the love of my life, will prevail from this ordeal.
This news comes as an unwanted surprise as my husband, and I had no idea of the developing illness until last week. when he fell faint and experienced a blackout after work. Luckily a friend was there to catch his fall, which led to the hospital visit and the diagnosis through an MRI.
Miguel is a native of Caracas, Venezuela, migrating to the United States at an early age. Since an early age, Miguel has always been energetic, loving and kind to his family and friends. He received his education in New Rochelle, Westchester County and his love for interacting with people made it feasible for Miguel to start working in the hospitality industry of restaurants. There he has developed many relationships in the community of Scarsdale by being that ear and smile you need after a long day.
Miguel has dreams of obtaining the American dream…one day being a homeowner, with a white picket fence, children & dogs and giving his family the same opportunity his parents gave him.

Miguel and I met about 7 years ago and from the first date, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Love has always been difficult for me as I lost both of my parents, but he has shown me how to be strong and brave enough to always keep my head held high. My husband is the best partner I could ever ask for and I love him dearly and even more now, (if that’s even possible) as we face such a big challenge.

I would love to close my eyes and get back to our normal routine, but I know tough times are ahead of us. Miguel is scheduled to have brain surgery done on 7/27, where most of the tumor and mass will be removed. After a successful surgery, we will still be facing a long recovery and rehabilitation. My 28-year-old husband will be immobilized for weeks and will likely lose part of his hearing.
Financially speaking, we aren't in the best position although we are subsidizing part of the bills with insurance. If you ever met or get the chance to meet my husband, you would be captivated by his charisma, & warm and open heart to everyone he meets.
During this extremely difficult time, I kindly ask for your support, love, and prayers. Your words of encouragement and positive energy will provide comfort and strength to Miguel as he prepares for this life-changing surgery. Let us come together as a community, united in love and compassion, to uplift him and our family during this challenging time.
