Where do I even begin! I never imagine having to write this so soon in life but here we are. Hi my name is Didi Alcantara, my best friend Vanessa lost her beautiful mother Mirtha Mendez Tuesday morning (08-01-2023) 66 years young.

This was extremely unexpected for everyone!

God took a good one. If you knew her it was truly a gift! She was extremely special, full of life. She raised two beautiful daughters Vanessa and Nicole with the most incredible bond I have ever seen in two sisters. She was also blessed with the most amazing four grandchildren anyone could have ever asked for! I pray to god to give them the strength they need to be strong for their own children. Their mom was their world. No one deserves this pain. I remember Mirtha told me a few times that she was happy I found her daughter, that I was a good friend to her and her girls! I remember Mirtha told me once please don't ever change, you came into their lives for a reason and I am here to always keep that promise!! This is an extremely hard process for them, so I'm here to ask for help. Any help at this point would mean the world to them. No little amount is too little. I always say it takes a team and right now they need the biggest team they can get!

I'm trying to make this the least stressful for both Vanessa and Nicole. I know god is good and we will all get through this! I want to thank and appreciate every single person who took the time to read this!
